SAFETI_DIAG_LIB: Preconditions for SL_SelfTest_VIM(VIM_SOFTWARE_TEST) to work

I have been trying to get the SL_SelfTest_VIM(VIM_SOFTWARE_TEST) to work on our custom board based on TMS570LS1114. In stepping thru the code the reason it always fails is that vimTestFlag never gets set. What is the required setup for this function to work?

Can you see if the workaround listed in that thread resolves your issue?

EDIT: Additionally:

"The SL_SelfTest_VIM(VIM_SOFTWARE_TEST) triggers both ESM Group2 Ch8 and ESM Group2 Ch6. ESM group 2 Ch6 effectively sets the the vimTestFlag to TRUE. "

Didn't fix issue with adding 1 to size of sl_priv_flag_set array per the thread you suggested.

I probed further. When SL_FLAG_SET(testType) is called, flag_id-TESTTYPE_MIN = 211-160 = 51, which was in range of the size of sl_priv_flag_array which was 224-160 = 64. adding 1 to make it 65 made no effect.

I don't seem to be getting any ESM group 2 triggers running this test. I did call SL_ESM_Init(ESM_ApplicationCallback); before running test so it should be all configured to fire.

UPDATE: just realized my error. I hadn't had the IRQ enabled before running the test. oops. Once I _enable_IRQ() before running the VIM_SOFTWARE_TEST it now works.

I just realized I had moved the parity test not the software test to a location in code where interrupts were enabled. Eyes played tricks on me. The VIM_SOFTWARE_TEST still does not work.
