Is it correct that the SafeTI-HALCoGen-CSP tool should be able to accomplish the following: (?)

  • Process a HALCoGen project file and generate appropriate test cases depending on the project setup
  • Instrument and run test cases (either on hardware or as unit tests)
  • Produce coverage report

Is the latest version of SafeTI-HALCoGen-CSP compatible with the LDRA tool and runs properly "out-of-the-box"?

    Hello,

    Yes, this is the purpose of the HALCoGen CSP. The CSP install includes a user guide that describes the steps required to use the CSP with your own HALCoGen project.

    Hello,

    When you install the HALCoGen CSP, the HALCoGen Test Automation Unit (HALCoGen TAU) is also installed to the CSP folder. The TAU is to generate a dynamic coverage analysis report and regression report. The TAU comes with the unit test cases and functional test case for all of the modules supported by HALCoGen. TAU compiles the files within the <HALCoGen_Project>\source folder generated by HALCoGen and the respective test folder. The test folder can be UnitTest, FuncTest or the custom folder added by the user inside the <HALCoGen_Project>\test\<Module> folder. 

    Please refer to the CSP user guide which shows how to create your own test cases.

    The LDRA Unit is not provided as part of the CSP download. To run the unit tests using the included Test automation unit software, customers are required to purchase and install LDRA Unit software from LDRA.
