TIDM-02000: Peak current blanking time configuration

Hello

I am confused about Blanking time configuration for peak current mode in application note TIDM-02000

I see in the application ,blanking time is configured to ignore current spike while lag leg(epwm1) pwm turn off?

am I correct ?

why does not blank while pwm turn on?

and why no need to blank leading leg (epwm2) pwm turn on-off time?

Hi Sandiage,

You are right, the blanking window is mainly for the leading edge noise at turn on time.

The on and off of EPWM2A/2B are decided by comparator which are easily impacted by the leading edge noise of EPWM1A/1B. The turn on of EPWM2A/2B are decided by the deadtime and TZBU/TZAD so the leading edge noise of EPWM2A/2B will have less impact.
