Hello,

I was going through the TRM for TMS320F28002x to understand the FSI peripheral. I am unable to understand if the skew compensation is automatically done or should the delay values be manually calculated and then fed into the registers? Also, if it has to be manually calculated, should it be done after every power on/off cycle or only when the connections are changed?

Hi Nikhil,

Are you referencing the FSI skew compensation App Note below and software examples discussed in it? It needs to be manually measured and calculated, but there's a method discussed in the App Note.

It should not need to be done every power cycle, but would be good to re-calibrate occasionally in case aging has some affect. If the cables are changed it should be re-run like you mention.
