Hi expert,

Can TMS320F28388's ESC pins be used with DP83848?

I have successfully connected TMS320F28388 and DP83822, I want to change DP83822 to DP83848. What should I be aware of for migration? Or is there an example to provide?

Hi Anka,

I would suggest starting out by looking at the top view of the packaging to see the differences in pin placement. The DP83822 and DP83848 are not pin to pin compatible so many of the pins will be in different locations.

Then, after re-routing your design to the DP83848, go through and fill out the attached schematic checklist to check your design.

Note there are different versions of the DP83848:

1. DP83848-EP

2. DP83848I

3. DP83848K/T
