As per TIDM-1000 reference design document, can you please explain the DC bus capacitor formula is derived. The same formula can be used for 2 level and 3 level Active front end converter while connecting inverter as load.

I do not have the deveration for that equation. However please note that the output caps were somewhat over designed.

I suspect that there should be a paper which covers this topic, however I have often see this detail is not provided. Including some of the early papers from Dr. Kolar( VIENNA inventor).
