TIDM-BIDIR-400-12: Questions about PR798

Part Number: TIDM-BIDIR-400-12

Hello, Teams,

Thank you for continuing to give me advice for prototyping TIDM-BIDIR-400-12.

I’d like to ask the below questions about PR798 produced by TI.

  1. According to the schematics of TIDM-BIDIR-400-12 drawn in 12/16/2010 and the schematics of PR798 drawn in 7/26/2011, I assume that some connections or pinouts are inconsistent. Would you mind showing me the latest and correct connections or pinouts, and sharing me the latest, detailed schematics of TIDM-BIDIR-400-12 and PR798?

  1. Is PR798 sold? Or I’d like to know the information of the substitute one.

  1. If both PR798 and the substitute one are not sold, I anticipate that I have to redesign the circuit and the PCB of PR798. Is it correct? Is it able for me to get the CAD files and the BOM?

I appreciate your every support.

Best Regards,

Takumi

  • Where are you seeing PR798? The only reference I could find is to an obsolete ref design TMDSHVPSFBKIT.

  • Dear Gus,

Thank you for checking and answering my questions many times.

Also, thank you for sharing me the information of TMDSHVPSFBKIT.

It is a pity that it is out of production for now as you said.

By the way, I’d like to apply PR798 for TIDM-BIDIR-400-12. In the BOM, PR798 is included.

As you know, since TIDM-BIDIR-400-12 is not sold, I’d like to get each component which is written in the BOM, including PR798.

If you don’t mind, I hope you will answer the 3 questions, which are shown below again.

    2. Is PR798 sold just as a product? Or I’d like to know the information of the substitute one.
    3. If both PR798 and the substitute one are not sold, I anticipate that I have to redesign the circuit and the PCB of PR798. Is it correct? Is it able for me to get the CAD files and the BOM?

Also, if there is a lack of information which I told, I hope you will point it out.

    Best Regards,

    Takumi

  • I'm following up internally on these questions. I will get back to you in a couple of days.

  • Dear Gus,

    Thank you for following up.

I’d like to wait your reply.

    Best Regards,

    Takumi

  • Takumi,

I was able to locate the design files. I can provide these, but they will come with no support as they were designed for internal use only and we don't have anybody familiar with this design. Please contact me via direct message.

  • Dear Gus,

Thank you for replying and checking.

I’m sorry, but I’m not sure about the way how to use the direct message.

I’d like you to tell me the way or send the above files to me through the direct message.

Also, if there are any limitations to use the design files, I’d like you to let me know it along with the above contents.

    I appreciate your supports.

    Best Regards,

    Takumi

  • I’d like you to tell me the way or send the above files to me through the direct message.

Request friendship on my name, then send a chat message. I will attach the files on that message.

Also, if there are any limitations to use the design files, I’d like you to let me know it along with the above contents.

Unknown. As I mentioned before, we don't have anybody familiar with this design.

  • Dear Gus,

    Thank you for replying.

I’m sorry, but we decided to suspend the prototyping because we anticipated that we were not able to meet the deadline of our project.

It is a pity, but I could gain some precious technical skills through the consideration.

More than anything, thanks to the team including you, I could proceed the consideration as hard as possible.

    Thank you very much.

Now, I’d like to close all topics I’ve ever posted.

I appreciate that you have kept supporting me kindly.

Also, I hope our paths will cross again.

    Best Regards,

    Takumi
