LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Using F2806x Workshop files for LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSDOCK28069

Hi There,

I am trying to learn about C2000 micro controllers and I am following the Multi-Day Workshop available on TI Resource Explorer. (https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=A__AYas8evPnY9.TREO8pS2Ew__C2000-ACADEMY__3H1LnqB__LATEST).

I have a LAUNCHXL-F28069M but the workshop is given for TMDSDOCK28069. I would like to confirm if I use the workshop files for Launchpad will it work or will it damage/have problems on it?

Thank you.

  • Hi Dev,

Thank you for your patience over the holiday break and happy new years.

The software should still be able to run on the LAUNCHXL-F28069M device and there should be no risk of damaging the device. You should ensure that when reading through the workshop files/guide, the EVM pins may not match exactly since you are using a different EVM. For example, if the guide lists GPIO0 as being present on DOCK pin x, it may actually be present on the pin y of the LaunchPad. You can double check the quick start guide provided with the Launchpad if you are trying to probe/sample or work with a specific GPIO or device pin

    Regards,

    Peter
