TMDSCNCD28388D: DCAN configuration

I have tried running the c28x_CAN_comm model by following the steps given in this document: https://in.mathworks.com/help/ti-c2000/ug/ecan-example.html. I am currently using a TMDSCNCDF28388D control card and I am aware that this particular board hosts only a DCAN and MCAN module but no eCAN module. Although the Matlab blocks specify that they are eCAN type. What do I do if I need to configure my DCAN module on my microcontroller? I am assuming that this is the issue as there is no activity visible either on the Rx, Tx pins, or on the PCAN-View software. The model is being built successfully as shown in the screenshot below:

eCAN is a misnomer (incorrect terminology) in the context of 28388D device. I had brought this to the attention of Mathworks earlier. I have sent a follow-up email today. Below graphic shows you the correct terminology for C2000 part numbers:

I feel there could be an underlying issue in your setup. Please try a C2000ware Driverlib example. Please download my Application report http://www.ti.com/lit/SPRACE5 and go through the Debug tips provided. Most CAN issues can be resolved by going through this checklist.
