TMS320F2800156-Q1: Flashing Issue.

Part Number: TMS320F2800156-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH
We are working on TMS320F2800156-Q1 microcontroller, we are facing the issues while programming the microcontroller.
We are using XDS110 DEBUG PROBE and CCS version of 12.6.0.00008.
Tried various approaches to program the device, following are the description/screen shorts of the issues:
Image: 1
Tried waking up the device, not flashing even after clicking Yes

After waking up the device, getting this error

code flash is happening sometimes, but while we run the code the debugger is getting disconnected and getting below message.

Another error message after we ran the code after flash.

When we are trying to do "Test Connection" from the .ccxml file, the debugger connection test is also failing.

Tried with Uniflash software.

Please support us to debug the issues.
  • Hi Aniket,

I don't think this is an issue with the flash tools.  Might be a board issue.  Is this with your custom board?

If not to flash, are you able to load code to RAM and execute it successfully on this board?

    Thanks and regards,

    Vamsi

  • Hi Vamsi,

Yes, We are using custom made board.

And also we tried with loading the code into RAM but still it is not happening. Also wanted to inform that the flashing has happened for the very first time, after flashing when we tried to run the code it's stuck and after terminating the stuck session it seems that the connection of controller and JTAG is not getting established.

So requesting to suggest possible causes for the same.

    Thanks,

    Aniket Chaudhary.

  • Hi Aniket,

Did you program anything in the DCSM OTP space?  Please check your linker command file/map file and confirm.

I will loop in DCSM expert based on your reply.

    Thanks and regards,
    Vamsi

  • Hi Vamsi,

Thanks for your support. Customer confirmed that the issue is resolved by removing the GPIO configurations on J-TAG pins in program.

    Regards,

    Sai.
