During testing of final product, we found that if an unsuppressed contactor is used on the same power source (24V) used to supply power to the controller, the CPU TMS320F28388D faults every time.
We are using the TPS65266 for the CPU power supply. I have tried removing our supply from the board and installed the TPS65266EVM-686 evaluation module, the problem remained the same.
What can be done in the design or firmware level to correct this issue?
We ran our legacy product thru the same test using the TMS320F2812P processor and it does not have this problem.
The noise seen on the power supplies is about the same on both the system withNewContrlReview.pdf the TMS320F28388D and the legacy product using the TMS320F2812P.
