TMS320F2800156-Q1: Will wrong analog reference config damage the reference pin?

Hi,

I have a custom pcb. I connected 3V3 on the analog reference. But when I write the code default adc reference is internal reference and 1V8. I have use pcb with this config for a while. Than I changed to external reference.

I want to ask is this config damage the reference pin? It seems to be working now, but will there be a problem later?

Hello Mesut,

If I understand correctly: you had the device configured with the internal reference enabled, but you were applying a 3.3V reference voltage on the VREFHI pin? I don't expect this to cause any further issues beyond likely inaccurate or unstable conversions. But this should be avoided.
