FAQ on SysConfig gui not opening

Issue 1. Missing driverlib/device-driverlib_peripherals/common folder in C2000Ware

This issue is observed while using c2000ware v26.1.0.0. Following are some things to investigate

1. Was C2000ware downloaded from ti.com or TI Resource Explorer? -> The versio downloaded from Resource Explorer omits the common folder (this is a known issue). If you have downloaded from TI Resource Explorer, please delete c2000ware 26.1.0.0 and install again from ti.com and it should be fixed.
2. Do you have multiple versions of c2000ware on your system? Upon downloading c2000ware it will either get installed in
   1. C:/ti
   2. C:/ti/c2000

Make sure that you are using the correct path for c2000ware. (This should be the c2000ware path which contains the driverlib/device-driverlib_peripherals/common) folder.

NOTE: The /common folder is a new addition to c2000ware v26.1.0.0 and hence newly imported projects from this version might not be able to find this path. This issue will not arise with an older c2000ware version

Issue 2 -  “Device Support Module is Missing”

If you see the following warning

WARNINGS
CPU1:Clock Tree
Add the 'Device Support' module in order to use Clock Tree tool and generate device support files.This suggestion can be ignored if not using Clock Tree tool.
CPU2:Clock Tree
Add the 'Device Support' module in order to use Clock Tree tool and generate device support files.This suggestion can be ignored if not using Clock Tree tool.

Please investigate the following things

1. Make sure device support module is added from the syscfg gui

1. If the device support module is already added, most likely the warnings can be ignored as mentioned in the warning message text. They appear because SysConfig checks each CPU core independently, and the detection doesn't always register correctly across both CPU1 and CPU2.
2. Make sure to do a clean and build to see if the warning disappears.
3. If the warning is still there after adding Device Support module, make sure to exclude device.c from the build (right-click on the file and then click on “Exclude from Build”)

Issue 3 – SysConfig “SWITCH” button does not work without internet connection

The SysConfig -> Device View -> SWITCH button does not work without internet connection in Sys Config versions below 1.28. This is a known issue and has been fixed in version 1.28

Issue 4 : Unable to switch to a different device variant in SysConfig

If you are trying to switch to a different device package but you are not able to do so from the SysConfig GUI, please investigate the following points

1. Right Click on project in explorer -> Properties -> Tools - > SysConfig. You will see the flags mentioned. Make sure that you modify the flags according to what package you want to use.
