F28377D: RAM for CLA

Hello, Sirs,

We'd like to use CLA as a FPU acceralator on F28377D.

And we need over 32KB RAM for FPU signal processing.

But we found CLA use only LSx_RAM & MSG_RAM(=24.5KB total) in data sheet.

Question:

Is there any way that CLA uses another RAM such as GSx_RAM on F28377D.

    Hi,

    CLA can only access LSxRAM. It has MSG RAM (small) which is used for exchange of data/msg with CPU and can be used for data only. CLA can not access GSxRAM. We have external memory interface on this device through which CLA can access data stored in external RAM (only for data not code).

    Other way to solve the problem is to use the LSxRAM as ping-pong buffer for CLA and CPU can keep filling data into these buffers from GSxRAM.
