Error connecting to the target (Error -1015 @ 0x0)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8312, UNIFLASH

We bought CC2833x ISO control cards for the three phase BLDC Motor Kit with DRV8312. I have the problem that an error message appears by trying to programming them . Means they don't answering any more. I had a look through your community webside and I found something like the controller on the cards need  new passwords. But first I have no idea if that is true and second I don't know how to do that. Is the any possibility to find out how to do that?

The Error message is this one:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1015 @ 0x0)
Device is not responding to the request.  Device may be locked, or the emulator connection may be unreliable. Unlock the device if possible (e.g. use wait in reset mode, and power-cycle the board). If error persists, confirm configuration and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 5.1.450.0)

What can I do?

  • Hi Melina,

    What can I do?

First of all are you using the onboard emulator or an external one? Also, which emulator is it?

    Regards,

    Gautam

  • Hi Gautam,

I am using an external one. the Emulator XDS100v2

    kind regards

    Melina

  • Fine, here's my second question: Was XDS100v2 able to program and debug the controlcard successfully before this? or is this your first time?

  • Hi

It was able to program and debug the controlcard successfully before and I am using it still for programming working controlcards.

  • Ok, good to know that.

The above message is displayed when:

    1. Controller gets damaged (check whether the controller is getting over-heated)

    2. Controller is not able to function properly due insufficient voltage (Check for voltages in and around the controlCard and verify the same wrt your schematic. Esp. check voltages near the LDO)

    3. Controller has gone into permanent lock condition. (This usually happens when programming or debugging process in halted suddenly due to power loss) - Unlocking such controllers are not possible and replacing them is the only option. Still what you can try is using CCS Uniflash you can try unlocking the controller and then try programming.

    Regards,

    Gautam

  • Hi Gautam,

    thanks for this fast answers.

    To1: the controller isn't getting over-heated.

To2: The Voltage ist fine I checked it already.

To3: Jep I will try to work with CCS Iniflash. because here are possibilities to solver such kind of components like the 28335 controller.

    Thanks a lot!!

    Melina

  • thanks for this fast answers.

    No problem, keep us informed!
