Labs for F28035

Hello.

I have just bought a three phase BLDS/PMSM motor kit with DRV8301 and the C2000 Piccolo F28035 MCU controlCARD. I have tried my motor in the preflashed GUI, and it spins perfectly.

I have now started to program in CCS, and I see that there are several labs that takes me through the process of identifying and spinning my motor. But, my problem is that the labs looks like they are specified for the F2802xF, F2805xF and F2806xF. I have the F28035, and wonder if I can use the same labs for my MCU?

Can anyone help me with this? Is it possible to run these laba on my F28035 MCU? If not, is there any other available labs? And if, why do I get the error above?

I have found out that there are two labs that are designed for the F28035 located in the ControlSuite folder. But these isn't as good as the labs in the motorware-folder (labs 01 to 13e).

Are there anyone that knows how to make the "good" labs work with the F28035.

Yes, you should start your motor demo using these examples C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV830x-HC-C2-KIT_v105

Motorware has its structure that you can see in C:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_14\docs

And for your note, you can't use this for F28035 MCU. You need 'F' or 'M' version (for example: F28027F), MCU that has InstaSPIN FOC and/or MOTION feature, to use Motorware.

Anyway, I don't think anybody has labs for F28035 like the one in Motorware.
If there is, I want to know also, because making all APIs from the beginning is really big movement to make.

And again like I said before, for Bernt's note, Motorware cannot be used for non InstaSPIN FOC/MOTION MCUs because of the library inside their ROM.
Bernt may change the F28035 ControlCard into F28069M ISO ControlCard or F28027F ControlCard or F28054F ISO ControlCard, if Bernt wants to try this Motorware using DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT.

there is some confusion regarding the different solutions. with your kit you tried InstaSPIN-BLDC. This is a library that can be compiled to run on any of the C2000 devices. It is quite simple sensorless BEMF based commutation detection. Controlling current and/or speed requires manual tuning of the control system.

MotorWare supports the InstaSPIN-FOC solution. This sensorless field oriented control is much more complex, relying on an observer called FAST which must have accurate motor parameters, hence the Motor ID feature. We also automatically tune the current controller gains meaning you have a very stable, high performance, efficient torque control system nearly instantly. The software for this resides in provided user-memory source code AS WELL AS on-chip memory library/API. This means you need special devices that include this memory region: TMS320F28027F, TMS320F28054F, TMS320F28068F are some examples: www.ti.com/.../instaspin-foc_MCUs.shtml
