Hi, I want to confirm my understanding of the trip-zone submodule is correct.
TZCTL[TZA,TZB] is used to determined the EPWMxA, EPWMxB output voltage level(high or low) corresponding to OST event or CBC event. TZCTL[DCAEVT1,DCAEVT2 DCBEVT1,DCBEVT2] is used to determined the EPWMxA, EPWMxB output voltage level(high or low) corresponding to DCAEVT1.force, DCAEVT2.force, DCBEVT1.force, DCBEVT2.force.
And OST event can be configured to come from DCAEVT1, DCBEVT1.
So there could be a conflict when we configure OST event comes from DCAEVT1, and we configure TZCTL[TZA] to pull EPWMxA high, and we configure TZCTL[DCAEVT1] to pull EPWMxA low, how will the EPWMxA behave when DCAEVT1 occurs?
Howard,
You should take a look at this same diagram in the F28069 TRM. Both devices are the same, but the F28069 diagram has been updated more recently. The f28035 documentation will be updated soon.
To answer your questions: Yes your understanding is correct, there could be a conflict. For this reason there has been a defined priority, see the diagram below.
Regards,
Cody
