TMS320F28335: Why do the boards have the issue of Unlock the Flash?

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Dears:

Could you kindly help to check the below issues:

The first picture is the board connected with XDS510PLUS, and the second picture is the board which is flashed.

The issue is there will be happened to let us to unlock the Flash.

We product 3 boards, and they have the same issues.

Btw, the boards are all new productions and they are the first time to flash program.

Could you kindly help to give some advise about it?

Hi Luck,

Have you secured the device by programming the password at password location in Flash? If yes then you need to use Wait-In-Reset mode to enable the JTAG connection. Please see following note in device System Control user guide.

Dear Vivek Singh:
No, we don't secure the device by programming the password at password location in Flash.
So the issue made us confused why it happened.

Btw, our system is FPGA+DSP, is there anything need us to pay attention to?

Hi Luck,

You mentioned that Board 3 is working fine but in attached doc, I see all three boards have error in console window. Have you made sure that all the JTAG signals are ok on the board?

Hi Luck,

I feel the 100nF capacitor on XRSn may be a bit too big relative to the C2000's internal pull-up & R2.

Can you change R2 from 100kohm to 2.2kohm? 2.2kohm is a good value as recommended by the datasheet.

Can you also change C3 from 100nF to 10nF?
