I am starting to program the ePWM of MCU TMS320F28337D. I was able to configure what I needed, with respect to the desired waveform, but what I did not understand, still, is how the generation of PWM starts and stops.

Well you can stop the time base counter and the ePWM will stop in its current output. Is that what you are referring to?
