TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT: Evaluation Kit Capabilities a External DC Power Supply

In conjunction with operational testing of my three phase BLDC servo motors, I have the need to load test this motor which requires up to 13.5 Amps for a brief period (approx. 30 seconds to 1 minute in duration). My Question is; If I connect a External Isolating DC Power Supply with a max output rating of 350 VDC and 17 Amps, can I perform the load test up to 13.5 Amps with this TI Drive/Eval. Kit?

The kit is rated for about 10A only. Such a test may not be possible on this kit.

Ramesh; Thank you for your prompt reply to my problem. I felt like I would be limited with this Kit for load testing. New Question: Does TI have a Eval. Kit rated at, or more than 13.5 Amps and have very similar three Phase BLDC operation capability of my current Kit?

Not for 350V/ 15A in the same style. There is a grid tie inverter available, you can look at www.ti.com/.../TIDA-01606. Not sure if this can be tweaked to fit your requirement.

Do you know when the TIDA-01606 will be available for sale? I would be using it for testing and evaluation purposes only.

Ron,

TIDA-01606 is only released as a TI Reference design, in which we provide the BOM and design files, but we will not be making it available for sale.
