CCS/TMS320F280049C: We can't program DCSM though SCI-A.

Dear Sir,

We would like to program DCSM to TMS320F280049CPZ; currently we can program it by CCS succesfully. We set the CCS and it created .out file and .txt file.

We used the .txt file to write it into sram though SCI-A interface. The project could run successfully, but the DCSM was not programmed to 280049.

Could you give us some suggestions?

Have you programmed the .out using CCS and it worked fine?

When you say you are programming via SCI-A, are you using uniflash tool or your own bootloader?

Hi Vivek,

Yes, I had programmed the .out file using CCS and it worked successfully.
I using own bootloader to programming the .txt file.

Hi Vivek,

When I used UniFlash to program the .txt file though JTAG, and I got a error message.

We can look at the UniFlash issue later as it is not your original debug.

Regarding the txt file: How did you generate the txt file? Please give clear details. Did you check whether the txt file has the DCSM data in it or not?

A debug tip: Try mapping all the DCSM content to program memory in your linker cmd file and see if that helps. When you create txt/hex files, data and program images get generated separately. Hence, try this.
