CCS / TMS570LS0432: Uniflash&notepad++

Part Number: TMS570LS0432
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear team,

I found that reading the memory browser with uniflash tool is different from reading the address value with Notepad++.

The compiled .out is opened with notepad hex as shown below

After downloading .out to the CPU, using uniflash to read it is like the picture below

Why is the starting place different? When reading with uniflash, it starts from 00, when reading with notepad, there are many values in front.

  • Hi Susan,

    If you compare the size of .out file and the size of flash memory used by the code (.map file), you will notice that the size of .out file is much larger. The out file contains lot of headers which are not loaded into flash.
