Good morning, I am using MSP430 Flasher in my test system. Sometimes it alarms (the red led stays on). I would like to know what the causes of this error are.

Are you aware of the MSP Flasher User's Guide? It has a section which lists all the error codes. Those codes should be presented by the MSP Flasher. And there should be a command which you can use for displaying the error, if any.

If there is an error, the flasher will prompt you to retry or cancel the update.
