MSP430FR6047: Design Center error

Hi,

I have been using the Design Center tool without any issue. All of a sudden, it doesn't start with the following error.

Has anyone seen this error and fixed it?

Actually, I uninstalled and reinstalled the tool but still have same issue.

I found out it created an USS log file whenever it failed to start.

Hi Chris,

It's possible that you have some other installation on your machine which the GUI is going to. User configuration files are normally stored under C:/Users/<your username>/USS...

You might delete any directories you have in this path.

The captured directory is the path. Can you check which folders might be removed?

As I mentioned earlier, I re installed the tool. If some folders were removed, doesn't the installation fix the folders?

Hi Chris,

A re-installation won't wipe out the files in these folders because these files might contain a custom header or configuration (which users might want to continue using with an updated version of the GUI)
