Hi,

Good day.

Customer is encountering interface communication error with MSP430G2553. Below is the details.

Heres my connection

JTAG pin 2 (VCC_TOOL) if MSP-FET powered, or JTAG pin 4 (VCC_TARGET) if externally supplied, to VCC

JTAG pin 9 (GND) to GND
JTAG pin 8 (Test/Vpp) to SBWTCK
JTAG pin 1 (TDO/TDI) to SBWTDIO

I am using MSP430G2553 ic . using thsi 2 wire method

    Hi Maynard,

    You are looking at the correct documentation, but you also need to connect the JTAG !RST pin. The section "Signal Connections for In-System Programming and Debugging" states that the connection to this pin is required for devices that support 2-wire JTAG communication, even if you're using the 4-wire JTAG communication mode.

    Furthermore, make sure you're following Figure 2-2 for 2-wire JTAG.
