MSP430FR5872: Capacitive Touch Sensing microcontrollers

Part Number: MSP430FR5872
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR2675, ENERGIA, MSP-EXP430FR6989,

I have a question about the MSP430FR5872, it says that all pins can be used for capacitive sensing. Does this mean they are all self capacitance or does it also have mutual capacitance and how does this differ from the capTIvate technology outlined in the MSP430FR2675's datasheet? I originally had purchased the MSP430FR2675's thinking I could use my MSP-EXP430G2 launchpad to program the chips by connecting the required pins and then programming it using Energia, unfortunately that is not the case. I saw that the MSP430FR5872 was supported by the MSP-EXP430FR6989  launchpad which is also supported by Energia.
