My customer checked XRAY for MSP430F5501IRGZR.
The lead frame was different depending on the device.
Is this a normal product?

Hello Kengo,

I'm not familiar with the assembly process. The lead frame here looks pretty identical to me. I'm not sure what the dots are, maybe the plastic packaging was sourced differently. Is there a concern that it's counterfeit? Where were they purchased?

I'll try and find a contact in our manufacturing team, and maybe they can provide some insight but that will probably take several days.

Hello Kengo,

Thanks for your patience. I've confirmed with the engineering, and their response: "This is a normal feature on the lead frame and is not cause for concern." So, there is nothing to worry about.
