MSP430F5324: NC pin question for MSP430 family

Dear TI,

As per MSP430F5324IRGCR datasheet pin 51 and 55 is NC. Does it mean it is physically not connected to the DIE by wire bond?

Also would like to know is there any difference in the leadframe if the country of origins are different (Malaysia vs Thailand).

Is this acceptable if all leads are connected to the DIE in case of TH COO?

Hi Adrian,

NC in this case means it may or may not be connected internally. During layout please ensure these pins are left unconnected/floating.

Thank you for your quick response. Does it mean even if TI Thailand assembly wired all pins, we just need to leave these 2 pins unconnected or floating?

isn't an issue if pin 51 and 55 wired physically?

Hi Adrian,

Yes, these pins should be left unconnected no matter what. The devices would have been qualified with these pins disconnected for both countries of origin.
