MSP430F5525: can MSP-TS430PN80USB target board connect to PC by USB

Part Number: MSP430F5525

Hi Team,

There's an issue from the customer need your help:

I'm using  MSP-TS430PN80USB to connect to PC by USB(usb power jumper has been set , mcu digital and analog pin have voltage). Win7 system has no react. Installed uniflash_sl.8.1.1.4146. Press usb bsl(S3) button, then

system popped '"A device was found that the system does not recognize'. If you press and hold it, system will keep popping up.

Am I overlooked something? I've checked the circuit and no problem, the XT1 32.768 crystal is not installed. XT2 4MHz crystal is installed.

Could you help check this case?

Thanks & Regards,

Ben

  • The MCU is from third party, at present, it is found that the 4MHZ of xt2 does not start to vibrate after it is powered on, and it does not start to vibrate when pressing the s3 key when it is powered on. Is the mcu has been rewritten into a non-USB bsl? If so, how to connect the mcu at present, under the existing hardware conditions. I have usb to ttl here, can it be used?

  • The default BSL is USB BSL. I would ask you to use SBW to check whether the code at the flash is USB BSL. And then double check the hardware setting.
