I am using a MSP430F5438AMPZREP.
I am getting confused about the JTAG connections necessary to program w/ the MSP430FET.
I didn't find a schematic anywhere specifically for this part.
Is there one available?
What about the TEST pin?
Are any pullup or pulldowns required?

Take a look at our MSP430 Hardware Tool's User's Guide (https://www.ti.com/lit//slau278). Figure 2-1 Specifically. It gives the recommended hardware configuration for 4-wire JTAG connections between a programmer (MSP-FET in your case) and the MSP430.
The notes in that image detail the pullup/pulldown considerations and requirements..
