EVM430-FR6043: [ERROR] MSP430: Error connecting to the target: Unknown device when using Uniflash

Just received the EVM430-FR6043, and was following the instructions in SLAU810B – SEPTEMBER 2019 – REVISED SEPTEMBER 2020, chapter 3. But the process stops with an unknown device error, and the error message  [ERROR] MSP430: Error connecting to the target: Unknown device in the Uniflash console. LED101 also lights up red. Note that on the first try I clicked the verify image button, the program stated new firmware required so I accepted. After this the unknown device error occured.

Any help on how to get the device back in operation?

    Hi Chris,

    At which step is this occurring, when you attempt to flash the image? Are you just attempting to flash image recommended in the guide? I was just able to follow these instructions and flash my device. Did you select the correct device in the beginning menu? Are you working with the latest versions of uniflash and the USS tools?

    Hi, thought I had deleted this post. User fault; set the jumpers according to the image in the procedure. Took a while before I realized the board version I have (C) doesn't match the image any more. Once the jumpers were in the correct place the issue was resolved.
