MSP430FR6047: TIDA-01486 amplifier not working properly with MSP430FR6047

Part Number: MSP430FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01486

Hi,

We were developing a solution with MSP430FR6047 flow meter. The flowmeter board actually works well and we are getting valid flow rates from flow meter module. After taking reference of the amplifier design of TIDA-01486 from here TIDUDO7 (3).PDF , we tried to modify the design for our requirements. with single pair of transducers.

This was the test setup in the user guide with 4 inch pipe and two pair of transducers. But for our usecase we need only single pair of transducers and want to have 1 inch or 2 inch pipes.

Attaching the PCB gerber files of customised TIDA-01486 here for your reference.3060.gerber.zip

After interfacing the amplifier board we are getting following adc capture in USS app.

Could you please help us on setting proper configurations in the USS app. or verify the design files are ok ?

  • Hi,

Since you are only use one pair of transducer, there is no need to change the software from the original water meter demo code. The question is how you modify the hardware design. Could you share the schematic design of your own board?

And for another question, does it really necessary to increase the excitation voltage for 2 inches pipes. We have customers working on DN100 meter without external circuit.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao
