crystal 2 in MSP430F4351

Is it compulsary to use crystal at  XT2IN  and  XT2out???

as i have read that  main clock is ussed by the CPU of MSP

 

then , do i need to use this second crysatl,?

 

i have used crysatl 1 of 32 KHz,  but do i need another one?

    Hi Rohit,

     

                     It is given clearly in the user's guide(Basic Clock Module )that ,it is enough to use any one crystal for the MSP operation. I think generally a 32.768KHz crystal is used for low power consumption of MSP.

                  If u r doing any clock operation using HF modules then its required to use (3-16 MHz) crystals in place of 32.768KHz

                  As per ur doubt,   i have used crysatl 1 of 32 KHz,  but do i need another one? It's not really required(better once read in Basic clock module chapter of ur device user's guide).
