MSP430: Trouble Writing Memory Block at 0xf000 on Page 0 of Length 0x2b6: Could not write device memory

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430G2303

Hi,

i am working on MSP430G2303 , the board worked fine for the first two instance but after i tested SMCLK frequency it stopped working.

I am using USB-Debugger-interface to programm chip. It start showing me below errormessage:

MSP430: Trouble Writing Memory Block at 0xf000 on Page 0 of Length 0x2b6: Could not write device memory

So far I clean project and tried to reprogram it and that didn't help. I swapped the bad chip with the good one and that didn't help too.

also update my programmner firmware and that didn't work. I ran out of option and need help.

Please help me to fix this problem.

Thanks & regards,

  • Hmmm, teh MSP definitely has flash at 0xf000, and apparently it is detected by the FET. The only reason I can see for an unsuccessful write is that the supply voltage is below the required minimum for flash writes.
You don't write what board you are talking of. Own PCB? LaunchPad?
