MSP430G2553 USCI UART works correctly only at 9600 baud rate.

I'm using USCI UART at my launchpad. Configure it with Grace. It works correctly at 9600 baud rate, but if i try to increase it, i receive at my terminal a garbage data. Any ideas why is it so?

(sorry if the question is stupid).

Is the USCI UART connected to the "Application UART" on the Launchpad?

The reason is that the Application UART on the Launchpad doesn't work at speeds faster than 9600 baud - see http://forum.43oh.com/topic/3133-increase-msp430-launchpad-baud-rate/

Then instead of Launchpad use proper USB-serial adapter

Yes, and new MSP430F5529 LP is much better regarding this. You can still flash/debug MSP430x2xx devices with UART bridge limited (per datasheet) to 1 Mbps.

And MSP430G2xx can go over 1 Mbps ...
