Hi, are there MSP430's available which fit into available IC-Sockets like QFP-Sockets?
I looked at http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/microcontroller/products.page but I didn't find any information about footprints.
This kind of information is really hard to find.
Help for finding MSP430's usable with IC-sockets appreciated.
Thanks for the PDF! I found all these lists with packages.
I've found the parametric list before I asked for help - didn't work on my computer, not on IE8 and not on Mozilla Firefox 29.0.1.
I tried to find sockets, but it seems to be the time of simple and cheap QFP sockets ist over. Or are there any?
Is there a method to for DIY or Maker people to easily solder BGA?
Are there any tutorials for soldering TI's MSP430 chips?

In my opinion, no. There are some "easy bake oven" type devices for doing SMT, but typically you need a special stencil and solder paste to use those.

MSP430's are like any other chips. If you have decent soldering skills, a QFP or even QFN shouldn't be too hard. Some MSP430's are available in DIP packages (the G2553 devices for example). Check on Google and/or youTube.

All QFP are still in place or you can use the similar (worst to solder)
LQFP or similar QFN

Or just hack this...

Somewhere I found instruction on how to make reflow using a Stellaris controller and a steack plate or toaster DIY
