MSP-EXP430FR5739 programmer not working, maybe dead?

Hi!

Today I wanted to play with the MSP-EXP430FR5739 experiment board, but the CCS said: 

Could not find MSP-FET430UIF on specified COM port

I tried to connect it to an another USB port, reinstalled CCS, rebooted the pc a few times, reinstalled the device driver,  but none of these solved the problem. I searched the forum, but I only found answers like: stop another programs, reboot, reinstall etc.

The MSP430FR5739 uC on the panel is working, I tested it with an another programmer (F5529 launchpad).

I think the on-board programmer is dead. The ICs are not hot, and there is no smoke :) so I think it is a software fault.

How do I make sure that the programmer is dead? And how can I solve this problem?

IDE: CCS 6.0.1

OS: Win7 x64
