Question: I would like to use the MSP430FE4232 as a standard microcontroller with delta sigma. I don't want to use the signal processing capability of the ESP module which is tailored for e-metering applications.

Can I easily bypass the ESP module?

If you simply disable the ESP, using the appropriate bit in the ESP control registers, the sigma delta converters and the multiplier are available to the main CPU. The device then looks a lot like an F423 with only 2 sigma delta converters.
