    Unless I'm very mistaken, the BSL of the FE4252 works basically the same way as the BSL of any MSP device. So you should find your answer in the BSL application report SLAA089B.PDF (2003) and the BSL documentation SLAU265F.PDF (2009).

    The main differences between MSPs are the BSL entry sequence (does the device have dedicated JTAG pins or has it multiplexed pins with a TEST pin) and the version of the BSL on the device (supported command set). These informations are in the device specific datasheet for every processor.
