debugging problem in msp430g2553 launch pad

I am trying to run LED code for my MSP430G2553 device. I have been writing and running my code using IAR Embedded Workbench version 5.60.It is working on simulator mode without problem. However, when I am trying to debug the code on the device by using the USB debugger interface, Iam getting the following error:

Fatal error: Failed to re-initialize Session aborted!
How can i rectify this error.

    Not sure which USB debugger interface you are using. I assume that you mean the G2 LaungchPad. Try power off your PC, set up the G2 LaunchPad with the MSP430G2553, plug it to one of the USB ports, power on the PC, and try IAR after that.
