Hi all,
I'm working on my senior project for Computer Engineering and am trying to use the launchpad's XDS110 to program a MSP432 on a breadboard. The breadboard has the necessary bypass caps that I have read about and according to the schematic. These being the one's in DC DC, analog VCC, and digital VCC. I also have the corresponding 5 programming signals going to the correct pins on the MSP. I also have the 91k resistor for DCOR.
I have been running into an error -613 where the debugger cannot connect to the MSP. Most forums on E2E suggest to do a factory reset if this is the case. In doing so, and following the instructions found at this URL 'http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau575g/slau575g.pdf' on page 29, but I can't perform a factory reset because of the following error:
As you can see I can connect to the DAP core as instructed in the link provided, but when attempting to flash the MSP with the factory defaults I obtain this error 1170. The forums I've seen on this error say to do a factory reset: MSP432 Launchpad Error connecting to the target: Error -1170 - MSP low-power microcontroller forum -...
Thanks, James
Hi David,
Thank you for responding. I have not resolved this issue yet. I had not responded as I thought it could have been a breadboard issue and was waiting to receive our PCBs we had ordered to try that, but I am running into the 1170 error again while attempting to program it on my PCB.
Attached you should find my schematics for the PCB I am using.msp432.schController.sch
Best regards,
James
