Hello everyone,

2 questions:

1) I'm using the black LP msp432F401R. I know i should use the red one but I have only this one for my project. Is it possible to use the user guide of the Red/new MSP432? I just need the clock, I2C and timer A atm.

2) I'm trying to set the clock but the registers appear not defined. I miss some library or header file. There is any msp432.h file?

2) The clock registers are referenced in the form (e.g.) "CS->CTL1". (CMSIS style)
1) Things to watch out for with the Black LP:
a) Check the (old) Errata sheet. I haven't used everything, but I've had to deal with Errata in SPI and DMA.
b) One of my Black LPs runs very hot (temperature), and I've seen reports here from others as well.

What about the interruptions?

I thought it was this one but looks undefined aswell. There is any guide where i can check the CMSIS style.

Did you look at the examples Evan Wakefield referred you to? msp432p401x_ta1_05 ("Register Level") looks relevant.

As Bruce mentioned, you should checkout the examples.

I will note, that the black LaunchPads, we do not support actively any more. Therefore our new software (the SimpleLink SDK) will likely not work on it.

You can refer to Section 3 of http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa700a/slaa700a.pdf to see more information on the changes we've made on the silicon available on the Black LaunchPad and the Red LaunchPad. If you wish to move forward with the Black LP, you would be best served to use http://www.ti.com/tool/MSP432Ware.

However, since we no longer support the black LaunchPad, I would recommend you to buy a red LaunchPad here: http://www.ti.com/tool/msp-exp432p401r

We no longer publish the errata of the experimental rev B silicon. You can find the released silicon errata here: www.ti.com/.../slaz610

Thx for posting. Im kind of new with programing and sometimes i get lost with the libraries and i dont understand some answers. At the end i found the way to solve it. Soon i will buy the nw msp.
