CCS/MSP430F5324: rts430x_lc_rd_eabi library usage in medical device

Part Number: MSP430F5324

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

We are linking our code with the rts430x_lc_rd_eabi.lib libc library for a MSP430F5324 target that is used in a medical device.

We are working to prepare for IEC 62304 compliance testing.  According to that standard, the libc library would be considered Software of Unknown Provenance (SOUP).

We are not using any string or stdio functions, but we are using floating point and integer computational functions, and of course c startup and other inherent code.

Our question is: Is there any certification (e.g. IEC 61508 SIL3) or white papers, etc. that can be provided by TI to help bolster our case for safety that we can reference in our documentation and provide in case of audit?

Thanks.
