MSP430F149: Difference between S and N top marking version on MSP430F149IPMR

Hi,

We are using MSP430F149IPMR since a long time.  Recently we saw failure in new lot which has "S" top marking.  Earlier lots had "N" top marking and didn't show any issue. What is the difference between S & N version. Please find attached picture of "S" Version device.

    Please see the erratasheet for this device for a description of what may have changed between revisions: www.ti.com/.../slaz140

    However, it does not look like there is anything that has changed between those 2 revisions that should be causing an issue. Because of this, the difference in revisions is likely just a change in fabs that were used. So, the different revisions should not be the cause of the issue that you are seeing. Can you please describe the failure that you are seeing in the new lot, and well as any potential differences between the boards that each IC revision was tested on?
