MSP-EXP430FR5994: MSP430FR5994 LaunchPad without HF crystal?

Is it correct, that the MSP430FR5994 LaunchPad (MSP-EXP430FR5994) does not come with an HF crystal (Q2)?

All my previous LaunchPads (MSP432) had an LF and HF crystal attached but my new MSP430 LaunchPads only have an LF crystal (Q1).

The capacitors (C8, C9( for the HF crystal (Q2) are also not populated.

    Hi,
    Yes, the MSP-EXP430FR5994 does not come with the HF crystal and C8, C9 capacitors.
    There is a different between MSP432 and MSP430. The main clock frequency in MSP432 is always higher than the MSP430. And in regular cases, you will not need a HF crystal in MSP430 applications. So there are reasons we do not populate HF crystal on MSP430 EVM.
