Champs,
I am asking this for our customers.
The customer got a fail unit from their customer.
During failure analysis, the customer read back the flash codes and compared the fail one with another good one.
They found there were differences in memory: 01000h~010FFh.
Based on Table 12 (P18) of F2232 datasheet (slas504g), this part of memory belongs to information memory.
Because the user did not modify (program) anything in the flash code except the main application, they are not sure if this is normal.
In my understanding, it's normal there should be difference in the information memory because TI has stored some calibration parameters in the information memory.
That is, even though the user does not modify anything in the information memory, it's normal the content of the information memory is somewhat different between units (F2232).
Is it right?
We would like to confirm the difference in the information memory should not influence the application code.
Is our understanding correct?
