The driver certificate for windows has expired and it wont let me install the drivers for this board. Very frustrating and would like to know if there is a soultion. Thanks.  I tryed to take a screen shot of the certificate but for some reason it wont let me.

  • Hi Jacamo,

I understand that this issue is frustrating and takes up additional time. Could you please share some more details on the questions below:
    1) Does the error occur when you try to download the package or only at installation?
    2) What IDE are you using? Where did you download it from? How did you install it?
    3) Which drivers are you trying to install? Is it USB related?

With those answered I'll hopefully have more clarity what goes wrong.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Britta
  • Hello Jacamo,

<<<  it wont let me install the drivers for this board.

In your post you have not mentioned which board you are using.

    Is it MSP-TS430PN80USB , MSP-TS430RGC64USB, MSP-EXP430F5529, MSP-EXP430F5529LP or your custom board?

I need to know your h/w to avoid wrong assumptions and loosing time when trying to help you.

In this particular case take a safe assumption that all the boards above use the same driver.

    Lets go with MSP-EXP430F5529LP.

<<< I tryed to take a screen shot of the certificate but for some reason it wont let me.

    Very good practice.

    I use Windows Snipping Tool:

    Try this tool,

save the captured rectangle as a picture .

Replying to Britta and me use "Insert Code, Attache Files and more..." on the right to the Reply button, move a cursor to a position you need,

than use the "Insert file" (a clip icon) from a menu as the picture.

    That's it.

<<< it wont let me install the drivers for this board.

Having no screenshot you intended to send I need to guess again.

Assuming that a security certificate has expired, do not worry, ignore it, let the installation to continue.

There are hundreds of million or even billions of web pages with the expired security certificates.

Until you have no fake DNS server on your path to TI's site, you would install TI's driver and you would be secure.

    Go ahead!
