Hi TI Team,

According to EMDC, we can generate the CCS code.

We only have MSP430i2040 Embedded Metering EVM but do not have the MSP-EXP430F5529LP (HID bridge) to the MSP-ISO (Isolation board).

Is it possible or need to have?

    Hi Walter,

    the HID bridge and isolator are used for the communication and I'd encourage to follow our indication to use it. Besides that you'll probably have the MSP-FET to program your MSP430I2040 device (but please don't use it when your EVM is connected to high voltage).

    Hi Britta,

    I just receive the HID board and isolation board and EVM from TI. Now I want to connect online if it works using EMDC in PC. Is it safe to connect to PC via UART while EVM have AC power?

    Hi Britta,

    I connected the MSP-EXP340F5529LP board + ISO board + EVM  via USB of PC, it will show "No Connected HID devices".

    I connected the MSP-EXP340F5529LP board only via USB of PC, it will show "No Connected HID devices".

    Do I need to do anything in MSP-EXP340F5529LP board?

    This has been addressed in the following thread, so I'm marking this thread "Resolved". The MSP-EXP430F5529LP was not programmed with the provided HID bridge image (as described here in the EMDC Technology Guide).
