Hi TI Team,
According to EMDC, we can generate the CCS code.
We only have MSP430i2040 Embedded Metering EVM but do not have the MSP-EXP430F5529LP (HID bridge) to the MSP-ISO (Isolation board).
Is it possible or need to have?
Regards,
Walter
Hi Walter,
the HID bridge and isolator are used for the communication and I'd encourage to follow our indication to use it. Besides that you'll probably have the MSP-FET to program your MSP430I2040 device (but please don't use it when your EVM is connected to high voltage).
This E2E thread includes a very good overview of the connections including PC, HID bridge, ISO and EVM and also provides links to useful FAQs.
You'll also find the necessary information in the Energy Measurement Technology Guide, Introduction Section, that you've already linked above.
Please let us know in case you have additional questions.
Best regards,
Britta
This has been addressed in the following thread, so I'm marking this thread "Resolved". The MSP-EXP430F5529LP was not programmed with the provided HID bridge image (as described here in the EMDC Technology Guide).
MSP430I2040: MSP-EXP430F5529LP cannot detect as HID when using with Energy Monitoring DC
