MSP430F5329: About disabling the UCS Fail-Safe Operation

Part Number: MSP430F5329

Hi,

I have a question about UCS module for MSP430F5329.

Is there a way to prevent the clock source from switching automatically when an oscillator failure occurs?
In other words, Can I disable Fail-Safe Operation of UCS?
I want to disable the UCS Fail-Safe feature independently of the status register control bits (SCG0, SCG1, OSCOFF, and CPUOFF) settings.

Best Regards,
H.U

  • Sorry, the UCS Fail-Safe can't be disabled. In other words, if the clock source switching automatically when an oscillator failure occurs is prevented, then device will run abnormally. What's the purpose to disable this feature?
